After kind of a long week, we enjoyed a nice weekend, Bobby's brother Jonathan was here and we were able to spend some time with him and the rest of the family. It was a little on the chilly side, but we enjoyed it anyway. Baby and Bella have both been sick, and I was glad to spend some time with them that didn't include forcing medicine, or feeling foreheads :) We have a full week of school ahead of us, since the girls were sick I didn't get alot done last week, but our outing yesterday doubled as our field trip, so we got a good start. This unit is on transportation, and it has been really fun.
One of the people in Sunday School made an interesting visual point yesterday and it kinda stuck with me this morning. We are still working through Experiencing God, and our share time includes any thoughts or special moments we had the past week. He said that Jesus showed up in his office, and he put him in the waiting room. Took a couple phone calls, answered some emails, saw a few clients, took a lunch break etc etc. When he was closing up, he went to turn off the lights and saw Jesus still sitting there in the waiting room, wanting to spend time with him. His final point was, once we invite Jesus into our heart, he wants to spend all the time with us we need. He will wait, patiently, and graciously receive us when we make time. We have invited him, and he has rsvp'd YES! it was a neat way to put into words his thoughts as he worked to make time for the study and prayer time in his daily routine.
